The San Francisco Community Fishing Association is the first community fishing association on the Pacific coast, established in 2010. Our members are owner-operators of small fishing boats in the historic Fisherman’s Wharf of San Francisco.

We harvest local species including Dungeness crab, king salmon, herring, albacore tuna, black cod (sablefish), halibut, and more.

We offload our members' boats and sell the catch to local wholesale fish processors, restaurants, grocery stores, and fish cooperatives.

Check out Of The Sea, a documentary film about commercial fishing in California, featuring some of our members!

It's on Amazon prime, and has beautiful ocean footage. That sea urchin diving, though!
